08 Feb 10 Just when I thought I was free from politics for a few hours, “They drag me back in!”

I was going to write a different post this morning.

I was going to write about my Son-in-law, who I love and respect, but who decided (the other day) to put their dog’s “Stop barking shock collar” on and yell! I was going to write how I don’t like the idea of shock collars too begin with. But I laughingly agreed with him that if you were going to employ “Electrocution” as a training aid you really should make sure the “Jolt” that Maggie the Bichon would receive wouldn’t be too punitive…

But I’m not going to write about that! Instead I just want to vent (and see how many other readers of this space felt as I did). I thought the President’s intrusive interview was just that, intrusive and completely out of place.

He, Obama, didn’t stop by and playfully throw out a few words about one team or the other or both; he camped out with Katie Couric (who has become one of the most disgusting of the Liberal Talking Head Interviewers, IMO) and spewed forth from his Left Wing “Bucket of Slop”… There was no pretense of making this appear like it belonged in this venue; this was Obama showing the rest of us “We are not safe anywhere!”. He can (and will) invade our space to attempt to force feed his arrogant Statist Agenda any time he chooses (which seems to be quite frequently unless he is in Hawaii or on the golf course).

He has given well over 400 interviews and press conferences in just over a year… Think about that for a minute or two. He is averaging better than one of these every day, seven days a week. You would think there are other things that might be better attended to? I mean the preparation for each of these talks & speeches takes time, the rehearsals the setting up of the scripts and the teleprompters. One might think there has been very little time for anything else but this endless campaign of the President’s. Where is the time to reflect on the course he’s chosen? Where is the time for the review of abundant feedback given by the people? Where would his meetings & briefings with those he has appointed to run our Nation fit in between “Vacations & Television Appearances”?

I am a bit tired of seeing him every where I turn. Maybe it’s just me, I held office for a while I have an opinion that one should be of service in office; I do not see that here. I see only a man that appears to be quite full of himself, attempting to force his will on an entire Country.

I can only hope to see a change. Not his (Obama’s) change but a change in November. One that will send a message so loud that even he will hear it; but it is difficult to hear anything when you never stop talking…
